Is Yeshua really YHWH?

Greetings beloved sons and daughters of our King!

Have you noticed that in our “movement” we are encountering a growing number of people who have taken to denying that Yeshua is YHWH in the flesh? This can be a controversial topic, but as you might know, I am not one to shy away from controversy when I think elements of the love of the Father are being missed. Jump on board the controversy train with me for a minute and let's enjoy the scenery.

I would like to present a position in case you are seeking an explanation of a view that Yeshua is, in a manner of speaking, the Father. Whether I am correct or incorrect remains to be seen in the world to come when the Father answers all of our questions in a manner that will astound us immeasurably, but here is my attempt, pure in heart and motives, at describing Yeshua as being YHWH.

The Father, YHWH, is spoken of in masculine gender. The Ruach (the Spirit) is referred to in feminine gender (the nurturer, the comforter, the counselor, etc., all aspects a woman embodies in her role). So it is written: "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit." (1 Cor 15:45).

Yeshua is the last Adam.

When Yah breathed life into the first Adam, He was comprised of three components that manifest in humanity.

Let me explain. Adam, when he was formed and given life, was made in Yah's image (Gen 1:27). What was that image? Truly, that image was completeness. The Father took woman out of man, so where was she before she was taken out of man? She was in man. She was a part of man. A woman is born with all of the ovum (eggs) she will ever have in her body already. Hence, by extrapolation, one can conclude that her son is already in there. One, two, three. All three parts.

I suggest that the first Adam (who was made in the IMAGE OF YHVH) was a plural being comprised of all these parts. He was the Father, the mother, and the son, all together. As one, in one body, the first Adam was the picture of a family by his very composition, and this is the image of YHWH. Woman was taken out of man, and Son was taken out of woman. Woman and man came back together to make one flesh, and the son came from both of them to serve and obey the parents; to do what He is told.

This, in some ways, is beyond explanation, and yet is to some extent, explainable when you look at the structure of the family and the description of creation. This natural picture of the family is, I believe, the Father's way of teaching us Who He is in the spiritual.

The son was part of Adam and part of the woman. The seed of the father and the egg of the mother join to make the son, and the son comes forth as a combination of both to fulfill a purpose. The “last Adam” is all of those things in one. He is what the first Adam was the image of. He was man, woman (spirit) and son all at the same time.

This is not the trinity in the traditional Roman-Greco paradigm. This is YHWH. The family is simply a picture of Him; of what makes it all complete. Indeed the image is those things when they are all together comprise the FIRST ADAM. This is how Yeshua is Father, Son, Spirit all at the same time; because He is the LAST ADAM.

He (Yeshua), in my opinion, is careful to make it clear to us the role He was taking as a physical being, as the Son sent to serve, when He speaks of His role as doing what He was told. Many quibble over assertive narratives they suggest Yeshua should have used if He "really" was YHWH in the flesh, but I disagree with these arguments as I think they are missing the larger point.

They pluck out this verse to support their claim; "Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does." (John 5:19) In my opinion people who see this as the Messiah declaring He is simply human and not divine, are thinking of the “first coming” as an all-inclusive deal, rather than remembering that this was only half the role He would take.

He came first as Messiah Ben Yosef; to serve under the authority of another as a means to bring the 12 tribes (e.g. the family/YHWH'S household) back together. In the future He will return as Messiah Ben David to rule and reign in His own authority over the restored Kingdom of all 12 tribes (known in scriptures as “David’s throne” or “David’s tent”). He will rule over the united household of YHWH. Remember the covenant, which is salient as the rule of law in the place (The Land of Israel) where He put His name, and His marital vows (The Torah) have jurisdiction. The Land was deeded to the seed of Abraham (His Bride).

Who took on that death penalty obligation to redeem those (His Bride) inheriting the Land by walking between the pieces? The "smoking furnace and the flaming torch." (Gen 5:15) The smoking furnace" (YHWH, the Covenant Maker), and "the flaming torch" (Yeshua, the One lit off the furnace, the Covenant Bearer) were there to take on that covenant obligation, both of the same Light. This was the ultimate promise of an established household, created and bought back by Him. (Note* Inheriting the Land being one thing, and being a member of the household as the Bride being another, is another topic for another time, as it is beyond the scope of our topic at hand today, but look for future references to this...it's coming!)

I do not believe the aforementioned narrative regarding His Father “vs” Him (as some would perceive it) are meant to be taken as a dogmatic declaration of who He was, but rather, what He was sent to do, what role He was to fulfill; the servant. In this understanding, none of what He says contradicts itself in understanding His divinity.

Yeshua Himself speaks of how He was preexistent in a far more poignant manner than hinting. "And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began." (John 17:5) Also see John 8:57-58. "Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." He proclaims; "Whoever keeps my words will not taste death." (John 8:51) Who's words? ONLY YHWH can claim possession, authorship, ownership of those words. Yeshua constantly calls them His commandments.

This only looks like a contradiction when you don’t consider the components of the first Adam and the picture that is created when Adam is “taken apart” to make the family. This picture, I think, is an illustration of the image of YHWH so that we may know that He is all in all, complete, without limits, and with every attribute that completeness is made of.

The seed is the Word. "Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and abiding word of God. For, "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the word of the Lord abides forever. And this is the word which was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:22-25) The Father adds the seed to the mother (the spirit) and the son is formed, and as we know,Yeshua is the Word made flesh to dwell among us. Thus, the WORD with the Spirit creates the FRUIT. Yeshua is the fruit, and our likeness to Him is the fruit we produce that came from the seed when mixed with the spirit (which is how we have faith…by the RUACH).

It really is a beautiful picture.
